For the second year in a row, Ermitage Kalone (Catoki x Kannan) is the Champion Stallion of the BWP Stallion Selection. Vitalis JS Van Het Hagenbroek is a son of Ermitage Kalone. On his dam's side he carries the genes of Vannan. The stallion was bred and presented by the Sutherland-Mees family (JS Stables, Jef Sutherland). In 2023, the title of BWP Champion went to Ultra Star JM (Ermitage Kalone x Calvaro). Ultra Star JM won the 2024 Lannoo Belgian Stallion Competition powered by Euro Horse thanks to four clear rounds.
