Ermitage Kalone

Ermitage Kalone

“Ermitage Kalone is a popular large-framed stallion in Belgium thanks to his attractive pedigree, good movements and excellent jumping qualities. His offspring look promising. This is a stallion that can make it in both sport and breeding.”

His sire Catoki performed at the highest level under Phillip Weishaupt and Emil Hallundback. Many of his offspring also jump at the highest level, such as Cath me if you Can under Ann Kellnerova and Contanga 3 with Alberto Zorzi. Ermitage's dam is the Kannan daughter Belleaventure Kalone, who was injured as a young horse and was only used for breeding. Ermitage is her first product. His grandmother Blague du Maury jumped at 1m35 level herself. She is for example the dam of Vertige Kalone (Berlin) who jumps at 1.45 level and also Prestige Kalone (Potter du Manaou) who jumps 1.60 under Phillippe Rozier. Jasione aa his 3rd mother is also the dam of the stallion Quercus du Maury and grandmother of the well-known Anglo-Arbe stallion Fusain du Defey. This Anglo line is a very well-known and sought-after line for its sport horses as well as the approved stallions that have already emerged from it.

His first offspring were born in 2018. Even though these are still quite young, there are already a few that have stood out at various free jumping competitions, foal competitions and at the BWP stallion approvals. Think of SUNDAY JM (3rd at the BWP stallion approval 2021), SOLEIL OPTIMUS (approved for BWP and purchased by VDL Stud), EXTREME D'EMMA Z (eye-catcher at the BWP stallion approval 2022)
