Gilles Thomas and Ermitage Kalone jump clear on their Olympic debut
26-year-old Gilles Thomas and 10-year-old Ermitage Kalone were the first Belgian combination to jump in the qualification for the Olympic Nations Cup in the impressive setting of Versailles. Despite their relatively young age, they jumped to an impressive clear round. Something only 14 out of 60 combinations managed to do.
Teammates Wilm Vermeir and his IQ van het Steentje and Jerôme Guery with Quelle Homme de Hus, despite two top rounds, got one jumping fault on the record. It earned Belgium fourth place but that was more than good enough to jump to the final of the te am competition. Part 1 of the mission is already accomplished. Tomorrow at 2pm the final of the team competition will be jumped. Congratulations Team Belgium.
