Gilles and Ermitage Kalone are a “golden duo”. They proved this once again in La Coruna. After winning Belgian team gold on friday, they also brought home individual bronze on Sunday. They started in fourth place in the provisional standings, but after a clear first round they moved up to third place.

Gilles and Ermitage also remained clear in the second round. Scott Brash and the Selle Francais mare Hello Folie (by Luidam) also managed this, moving up to second place. The gold medal went to Richard Vogel with United Touch S (by Untouched).

Not a single fence was touched throughout the entire championship. ‘Ermitage Kalone knows when it's important. He was enjoying himself at the award ceremony because he knew he had achieved something important. He's such a smart horse.’
