Clear rounds and strong results under the Spanish sun for Gilles Thomas and his horses
In early February, Gilles Thomas left for the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain, with a truck full of horses. After three weeks of Sunshine Tour, there are no less than 36 clear rounds behind Gilles Thomas' name.
During the first weekend there was a first place for Lavanoche T&L (Lavallino ter Klomp x Bentley van de Heffinck) in the 1.45m class for eight-year-old horses. This was followed a few days later by a second place in a 1.40m class for J.Comghorla van Beek Z (Comme il faut x Padinus). A day later, there was a fourth place for Toulini Olympic (Toulouse x Cassini I). In Week 2, there was another second place for Lavanoche T&L and a second place for Toulini Olympic. Ermitage Kalone (Katoki x Kannan), meanwhile, jumped to third place in the 4* GP.
Constantin 110 (Colestus x Quidam de Revel) jumped to third place in a 1.50m class during Gilles' last week on Spanish soil. Meanwhile, Lavanoche T&L and Moon Flower J&F Champblanc Z (Montender x Muscaris d' Ariel) jumped to sixth and seventh place in a 1.45m class. On Friday, J.Comghorla van Beek jumped to third place. A day later there was a victory in the 1.40m class. The same day, Puskas de Kalvarie (Sea Coast Don't Touch Tiji Hero x For Pleasure) jumped to a win in the 1.50m. class.On Sunday, Ermitage Kalone jumped to 13th place in the 4*GP. Elfra van Beek Z (El Salvador x Vagabond de la Pomme) closed Gilles' Sunshine Tour with a win in the 1.50m GP.
