After a journey of 3 days, the horses arrived home safely today after 3 weeks Sunhine Tour.

For Gilles it was the first time that he went to Vejer de la Frontera for 3 weeks with 8 horses. Due to the disappearance of some Big indoor competitions, partly due to COVID in January and February and an upcoming busy outdoor season, we decided to go to the Spanish sun this year. With the upcoming breeding season for our stallions, this was an excellent opportunity to take our stallions away from home for another 3 weeks to allow them to gain as much experience as possible.

All the horses that were with us left a very good impression what promised for the rest of the season. Luna vh Dennehof has won several prizes with a 3rd place in the CSI4* 1m55 GP as the pinnacle. Calleryama also confirmed that she is starting to return to her old form after an injury with a 5th place in the 1m50 medium GP and some nice clear rounds. Jetric van Beek became 2nd in the 1m45 Small GP and jumped a few clear rounds at 1m45 level. Ermitage Kalone was allowed to go abroad one last time before he starts his breeding season and jumped successfully for the first time at 1m45 level under the Spanish sun. He jumped 3/3 clear rounds in the 1m45 classes. Feromas van Beek Z, Comdero I van Beek Z and Elfra van Beek Z also jumped 8/9 clear each. Finally, with Puskas de Kalvarie, we had one horse for the YH Classes. With 5/7 clear rounds, Puskas qualified for the Grand Final for 7y horses after 3 weeks. In this he jumped to a 2nd place which was quite an achievement when you know that there were no less than 190 7y horses during this 3 week Tour.

The horses that went to the sun will take it a bit easier in March. Gilles will focus more on the other horses in our stable in the coming weeks so that we can start the outdoor season well in April.

The next competition for Gilles is the CSI U25 of Paris that will take place from 18-20/03.

Now that all our horses and therefore all our stallions are at home, semen can be ordered every day from 3/03 from all our stallions.
