Another exceptional weekend for Gilles Thomas and the Nieuwenhof horses. On Friday evening, Gilles and his teammates Marcus Ehning and Hans Dieter Dreher from ‘Valkenswaard United’ won the Global Champions League. Both Luna van het Dennehof and Ermitage Kalone jumped clear and were instrumental in securing the victory.

On Saturday evening, Gilles jumped to second place in the main class of the day with the fourteen-year-old Luna van het Dennehof. Gilles and Luna were the first starters in the jump-off with fourteen combinations. Only German rider Katrin Eckermann was able to do better. In the GP on Sunday, Gilles and Ermitage Kalone had one fault.
