The Lewis van het Heidehof and Ultra Star JM jumping strong in EquiLannoo Belgian Stallion Competition
During the first round of the EquiLannoo Belgian Stallion Competition, Gilles Thomas competed with two stallions. Both the six-year-old Ermitage son Ultra Star JM (Ermitage Kalone x Calvaro Z) and the seven-year-old The Lewis van het Heidehof (Udarco van Overis x Chin Chin) performed well at the Azelhof. Ultra Star JM, bred by Joris and Marcel Van Dijck, jumped clear in both the basic course and the second phase. The Lewis van het Heidehof, bred by Andy Van Buggenhout, jumped to second place among the seven-year-olds.
Gilles: The Lewis van het Heidehof already jumped well during Jumping Mechelen in the Stallion Test and he simply continued that in Lier. He is a big stallion with a big gallop, a very good attitude and he is careful. Even when it goes faster. Ultra Star JM also gave a very good feeling and made a good impression. He is very calm at home and the intention is to let him grow further in the sport this year, because he is also a stallion with a lot of potential.
