Last weekend Gilles traveled with three horses to Falsterbo, Sweden. He participated in the five star Nations Cup with Feromas van Beek Z, Luna van het Dennehof and Mystic C van 't Heyveld. It was a succesful weekend.

On Friday there was the victory with the Belgian team in the Nations Cup. Gilles competed with the eleven-year-old mare Luna van het Dennehof. In the first round there were still two faults, but in the second round the duo showed their ability with a clear round. This in combination with the nice rounds of Pieter Clemens, Koen Vereecke and Wilm Vermeir ensured victory in this Nations Cup over a height of 1.60m.

It did not stop at just one victory. On Saturday Gilles saddled the Zangersheide approved stallion Feromas van Beek Z for the 1.50m Longines Ranking class. In this class against the clock they stayed clear in a time of 62.20 seconds and thus secured the victory.

On Sunday the Grand Prix was on the program with Luna van het Dennehof. In the first round everything went perfect and there was again a clear round. In the jump off Gilles and Luna were the fastest combination, but with two faults they ended up in ninth place.

After a successful weekend in Sweden, it is now time for a week of rest before traveling to Hickstead for the Nations Cup from 27th to 31st of July.
