Strong performances in Gorla Minora and in Compiègne
Gilles Thomas was competing last weekend at 3*level in Gorla Minore, Italy. Three horses made the trip to Italy. Aretino 13 (Artani 2 x Caretino) went along to regain competition rhythm and he delivered two clear performances. The eight-year-old mare Kivolette van Beek (Cidane x Indoctro), among others, jumped to fifth place in a 1.40m class. The still-young (8) Puskas de Kalvarie (Sea Coast Don't Touch Tiji Hero x For Pleasure) also showed great rounds on Italian soil. He jumped to twelfth and third place in two 1.45m classes. And in the Grand Prix at a height of 1.50m, Puskas got one fault on the bill which gave the still young combination 14th place.
Strong international work from our 17-year-old rider Ines Van Dijck. She rode the 1.45m Grand Prix of Compiègne with J.Comghorla van Beek (Comme il faut x Padinus) to a great fourth place.
A quiet weekend is on the agenda for Gilles and his horses next weekend. He will then leave for the Longines Global Championes Tour in Madrid.
