We can rate the second week of Gilles' passage at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera as successful to say the least. After Elfra van Beek's third place in the 1.45m class on Sunday during the first weekend on Spanish soil, there was a second place in the 1.50m class last Friday. Lavanoche T&L Z jumped later on the day to sixth place in a 1.45m class. For Chuck Marienshof Z, there was a seventh place on the same day in a 1.45mclass a. On Saturday, Qalista DN jumped to a win in the 1.50m class.

Closer to home, at Sentower Park in Opglabbeek, Marthe Heudens was on fire. She won the class for seven-year-old stallions with Super Star van ‘t Keikelhof and rode to sixth place with Scotch van het Dennehof. Both stallions jumped clear in the jump-off.

Marthe Heudens on Super Star van ‘t Keikelhof: Super Star van ’t Keikelhof is a very competitive stallion. He has a lot of scope and a very good character. He is careful and fast. What more could you want? (smile). He is still owned by his breeder Hans Hemelaer and he is available at Stoeterij Nieuwenhof. Together with Marc, we are looking at what Super Star's programme will look like. But I suspect we will be working towards the BK for seven-year-olds and the WC at Zangersheide in September.
