British rider Scott Brash returns to the top of the Longines FEI Jumping Ranking for the first time in a long time. This shift moves Kent Farrington into second place, while Ben Maher moves up one place to third. Stal Nieuwenhof rider Gilles Thomas continues his rise and climbs to an impressive fourth position. Olympic champion Christian Kukuk drops from third to fifth.

Last weekend, the world number four competed in the Equilannoo Belgian Stallion Competition with the young stallions from Stal Nieuwenhof. Ultra Star JM, the son of Ermitage Kalone, impressed with his jumping in the six-year-olds. In the seven-year-olds, there were double clear rounds from Kenzo de Kalvarie Z and The Lewis van het Heidehof. Both stallions jumped to sixth and tenth place respectively.

Meanwhile, Gilles has left for the currently not so sunny Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera. The seven-year-old Scotch van het Dennehof and Saladin S both jumped clear in a 1.40m class. Their peer Undercover van de Kattevenen Z also jumped a clear round in a 1.30m class.
