On the final day of Jumping Indoor Maastricht, Gilles Thomas won the closing four-star Grand Prix. Gilles won the Grand Prix with Qalista DN. Earlier in the day, Gilles had already come second in a 1.40m class with Happy Landais.

‘Winning is always special, but especially in Maastricht,’ said Gilles Thomas afterwards. ‘Jumping Indoor Maastricht has been on our calendar for years and I am very happy to add this title to my list of achievements. Thomas says that his mare deserves all the credit: ’Qalista is only nine and doesn't have much experience yet. This is her first indoor competition after a good outdoor season. It's almost unbelievable that she won it straight away." He describes her character: ‘She is cheerful, fiery and has a real fighting spirit. Very careful, but even faster in the jump-off. That's when she jumps at her best, if I can let her run a little. She is fantastic, truly a dream horse to have in the stable.’
