On Friday, Gilles Thomas won the individual CSI3* competition with his allotted Nero 'P'. Zitric Van Beek Z and Jos Verloooy rode to place in this 1.45m class at the Longines Equestrian Beijing Masters. In the team competition, Gilles' team took third place. ahead of the team of John Withaker. Jos Verlooy's team jumped to gold. Team Harry Charles took silver.

In the GP, the win was for Chinese rider Ruiji Liang with La Luna Hidalgo J&F under the saddle. This daughter of Cabrio van de Heffinck used to jump under the saddle of Gilles.  Place two was for Yaofeng Li with Gaeltto S. Rolf Goran-Bengston rode Gaultier VDL to bronze, ahead of Bertram Allen (Kick-Off AG) and Gregory Wathelet (Hummer RJ).  Jos Verlooy (Zitric van Beek Z) took seventh place and Gilles rode to eighth with Nero 'p.  Remarkably both La Luna, Kick-Off AG, Zitric Van Beek Z and Nero 'p, were ridden by Gilles and sold to China via Stal Nieuwenhof. The number two in the GP, is with his horses, including Jericho Dwerse Hagen, at Stal Nieuwenhof by the way. Gilles and Stal Nieuwenhof look back on the adventure in China with a very satisfied feeling.
