We still had to bring you Gilles Thomas’s results from the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT) in Miami Beach. Riding for his team ‘Valkenswaard United’, he and Edwina Tops-Alexander secured second place in the team standings. Gilles rode Qiara de Kalvarie and Qalista DN. In the Grand Prix qualifier, Gilles also took second place with Qiara de Kalvarie. In the GP, a single jumping fault with Qalista DN kept them out of the jump-off.

A day later, Gilles was already in Sint-Katelijne-Waver to compete in the 1.55m Grand Prix of the Groetenjumping with the Spits-Ceulemans family. Riding Plus Belle Van T&l, Gilles produced a clear round in the first round. In the jump-off, there was one fault.

Last weekend, Gilles competed at CSI3* Compiègne. Luna van het Dennehof and her son Scotch van het Dennehof both produced clear rounds there.

Gilles is competing in the LGCT in Mexico City this week. The following week, Gilles will be back in Belgium, training in Opglabbeek. After that, he’ll head to Shanghai and the 3* CSI in Lier, where a team competition will also be held.
