Gilles can look back on a very successful CSI5* - GCT/GCL competition in Cannes, France. He rode Elfra Van Beek Z (El Salvador x Vagabond de la Pomm) to ninth place in the Grand Prix which was won by Maikel Van der Vleuten. Gilles and Elfra got one fault in the jump-off and that put them in ninth place out of 13 jump-off candidates.  In the 1.60m class on Saturday, Gilles and Elfra Van Beek Z, also jumped to sixth place. Feromas van Beek Z (Fantomas de Muze x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve) jumped to second place in the 1.50m class. Earlier he had also jumped to second place on Thursday.
