At the Global Champions Tour / Global Champions League in Madrid on Friday evening, Chuck Marienshof Z jumped to victory in the GP qualifier. The son of Colestus out of the Emerald-dam Mamzelle Vh Marienshof rode a superb clear round and clocked the fastest time in this 1.60m class.

Closer to home, Marthe Heudens was in top form. Marthe travelled to Bonheiden with a number of Nieuwenhof horses, where the stallions Comdero I van Beek Z, Super Star van ’t Keikelhof and The Lewis van het Heidehof produced fine, clear-round performances. Ines Van Dijck was in action at the Belgian Championships for Young Riders. Riding both Silver van 't Keikelhof and Heloise De Creans, she received one penalty point for exceeding the time limit in Friday’s 1.45m class. This earned her eighth place. For the final, Ines chose Heloise de Creans, with whom she jumped to ninth place in the overall standings.

Gilles has meanwhile left for Aachen, where from tomorrow until Sunday, show jumping will take place at the very highest level in the evocative Aachener Soers.
