No. 1 sire showjumping ranking based on percentage (2020)
Prince Van De Wolfsakker had the highest percentage of offspring in the ranking in 2020. With only 16 registered products, he still manages to deliver 4 offsprings. One in four or 25%, that's phenomenal.
Prince Van De Wolfsakker was bought at the age of 8 by Stal Nieuwenhof from Myriam Van Der Kloet. He was a beautiful, large stallion with a good character, very scopy, extremely high quality on the jump and very intelligent. Despite his age, he still had little competition experience but his qualities soon surfaced. In 2008 he made his debut in international sport and successfully jumped his first 1m50 courses. In 2009 he successfully jumped his first Grand Prix (8th CSIO Copenhagen) and Nations cup (double clear CSIO Copenhagen). However, interest in this jumping phenomenon did not fail. Ultimately, at the end of 2009, the stallion was sold to Brazilian amateur Rodrigo Marinho. At the age of 16, Prince Van De Wolfsakker returned to Stal Nieuwenhof to enjoy his retirement. Unfortunately, he died at the age of 18 from an internal bleeding in his abdomen.
Due to his relatively early departure to faraway Brazil, Prince Van De Wolfsakker has never really been able to live up to his name in the sport. In breeding he starts to make more and more name. He passes on his extremely good foreleg and intelligence very much.
